- Purpose: The Custom Work Item ID Generator automates the creation of standardized titles for specific work items (e.g., System Requirements) during item creation or modification. The script ensures consistent ID formatting by automatically assigning a sequentially incremented identifier with a defined prefix and optional descriptive suffix derived from a custom field. This automation improves traceability, reduces manual entry errors, and ensures uniform identification across the project.

Functinal Flow
- User creates or edits a System Requirement work item.
- The automation checks the title for existing prefix patterns (e.g., “Sys-001”).
- If none exists, it queries all items of the same type within the project.
- The script identifies the highest existing sequence number.
- It increments the sequence and constructs a new title using the prefix, padded number, and optional custom field value.
